We process data only to operate a professional screen-industry platform, do not sell personal data, and never receive your Google or Apple password.
01 · Scope and controller
This policy applies to filmmaker.tw, filmmaker.com.tw, related Filmmaker Taiwan web services and any future mobile application that expressly links to it. Filmmaker Taiwan is the controller of personal data processed through the service. Contact hello@filmmaker.tw with privacy questions.
02 · Information we collect
- Account and sign-in data: when you use Google or Apple, the provider may share your name, email address, profile image and provider identifier with your permission.
- Professional profiles and listings: roles, credits, skills, location, availability, images, reels, company or supplier details, and anything else you choose to publish.
- Usage and device data: pages visited, searches, saves, applications or enquiries, browser and device type, IP address and security logs.
- Communications and support: messages, reports, verification materials and support records you send us.
03 · How we use information
- Create and maintain accounts, authenticate identity, and support one professional identity across the website and future iOS app.
- Display information you make public and enable search, discovery, applications, enquiries and production collaboration.
- Protect the platform, prevent fraud and abuse, investigate reports, and enforce community and listing standards.
- Monitor reliability, fix errors, improve the product, provide notifications and support, and meet legal obligations.
05 · Google and Apple sign-in
OAuth keeps your password with Google or Apple. Filmmaker Taiwan does not receive or store third-party account passwords. Google sign-in currently requests only the basic scopes needed to authenticate you, such as openid, email and profile. You may revoke access in your Google or Apple security settings. Revocation does not itself delete your platform account; you may separately request deletion.
06 · Retention, security, cookies and international processing
We retain information only while needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the platform. After account deletion, it is deleted, anonymised or restricted in line with backup cycles and legal duties. We use encrypted transport, access controls and security monitoring, although no online service can promise zero risk.
Necessary cookies may maintain signed-in sessions and security. If analytics or preference cookies are introduced, we will provide appropriate information or controls. Cloud providers may process data outside Taiwan; we require reasonable contractual and security safeguards.
07 · Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, copy, correct, restrict or delete personal data, adjust visibility and notifications, or revoke OAuth access. We may verify your identity before acting and will respond within the period required by law. Send requests to hello@filmmaker.tw.
08 · Young people, changes and contact
The service is primarily intended for screen professionals and businesses with full legal capacity. Minors using application, performance or contracting features should have a parent or legal guardian’s permission or involvement. We may update this policy and will highlight material changes on the site or by email. Contact hello@filmmaker.tw with privacy questions.
